Privacy Policy & Statement
Pentecostal Church Centre Burbage understands that we have a responsibility to protect and respect your privacy and look after your personal data safe and secure. This Privacy Notice, inclusive of our Terms And Conditions, explains what personal data we collect, how we use your personal data, reasons we may need to disclose your personal data to others and how we store your personal data securely. We are committed to respecting the privacy of our users of PCC Burbage website and services.

Data protection laws state that we are only able to process personal data if we have valid reasons to do so. The reasons we process your personal data include, but are not limited to, your consent and to contact you.

Online Privacy

We are committed to protect your privacy on our web sites. All access to our public website is anonymous, except for any areas where you enter your personal information.

When you visit our public website a record of your visit is logged and the following data is supplied by your browser:

  • The date, time and length of your visit to the website;

  • Your IP address and/or domain name;

  • Your operating system (type of browser and platform); and

  • The pages and resources you accessed and the documents you downloaded.

Our leaders and some volunteers have access to private sections of our public website, which also log the pages and resources that each individual accesses for auditing and security purposes.

 

 

Why we collect your personal information

PCC Burbage is a non-profit organisation committed to raising up fervent followers of Jesus Christ who will reach out and impact communities, cities and nations for the Kingdom of God. To accomplish this, we provide a range of Christian programs and services including our church services, Next Step, PCC Kids, PCC Youth, community and missions projects. To participate in certain programs or activities, we need to collect some information from those who want to be involved with our church, enabling us to communicate with them and provide the requested services.

What personal and sensitive information we collect

The information that we collect about you will vary depending on the nature of involvement and the activities that you choose to be involved in. We endeavour to only ask you for information that is reasonably necessary for the activities you are seeking to be involved in. You are not required to provide the personal and/or sensitive information that we request, but if you chose not to provide it, it may hinder or prevent your involvement or inclusion in some activities and communications and the degree of pastoral support and care that we can provide you with.

The information that we collect includes:

  • contact details (name, address, telephone numbers, email, etc.);

  • personal details (birth date, marital status, gender, etc.);

  • family details (spouse, children, etc.);

  • education qualifications and occupation information (profession, job title, etc.).


Some personal information is considered ‘sensitive information’. At times we collect sensitive information about you, including:

  • health information;

  • religious information (attendance, denominational details, spiritual milestones)

  • professional and practice information.


 

How do we collect personal data from you

We collect information directly from you, unless it is unreasonable or impractical to do so. Where we collect information from third parties and it is not personal information that is contained in a Commonwealth record, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify the information as required by law.

We collect personal information about partners, attenders, supporters, donors, volunteers, employees, contractors and visitors to our events by:

  • any of the forms on our website, other electronic means, or paper forms (visitors card, decision card, contact information form, event registration, etc.);

  • face-to-face meetings;

  • email or social media message or conversation;

  • phone calls; and

  • voice or image recording.


We will advise you of the purposes for collecting the information at the point that it is collected, and of any third parties to whom the information is usually disclosed.

Third Parties

For the avoidance of doubt, we do not and never shall sell your personal data to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. You have the right to access the information we hold about you. Please email your requests to pccburbage@gmail.com and we will provide a PDF file with the data.

Where we store your personal data

We will ensure that reasonable steps are taken to protect your data in accordance with this privacy notice.

 

As the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site and any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

 

Any sensitive data are encrypted and protected.

 

How do we use your data

We only use your personal and sensitive information for the reason we collect it as outlined above and for the purpose(s) for which it was collected and for any other purposes that you consent to, or as otherwise reasonably expected or permitted by law.

Retention periods
We will keep your personal data for the duration of the period you are associated with PCC. We shall retain your data only for as long as necessary in accordance with applicable laws. We may not be able to delete your data before this time due to our legal and/or accountancy obligations. We assure you that your personal data shall only be used for these purposes stated herein.

In preventing the use or processing of your personal data, it may delay or prevent us from fulfilling our contractual obligations to you. It may also mean that we shall be unable to provide our services or process the cancellation of your service.

You have the right to object to our use of your personal data, or ask us to delete, remove or stop using it if there is no need for us to keep it. This is known as your right to be forgotten. There are legal and accountancy reasons why we will need to keep your data, but please do inform us if you think we are retaining or using your personal data incorrectly.

In the event of a data breach, we shall ensure that our obligations under applicable data protection laws are complied with where necessary.

Changes in Our Practices
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy / Statement at any time. If we decide to change our Privacy Policy / Statement, we will post those changes to this Privacy Policy / Statement and any other places we deem appropriate, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.

If we make material changes to this Policy, we will notify you by email or by means of a notice on our home page, at least thirty (30) days prior to the implementation of the changes.

Users Responsibility
You are responsible for the security of your online accounts and passwords. Passwords should not be easily identifiable; they must be a minimum of 6 characters with at least one capital and one lower case letter along with one number or any combination of the above. It should not be any name, birthday or telephone number easily associated with you. Make sure you keep it in a safe place and do not share it with others. Always remember to log out after your session ends, to ensure that others cannot access your private personal information. You should always take this precaution even if you are not using a public computer, library, community hub or internet café, but even when using your private computer in your home.
